As the Social Inclusion Coordinator (SIC), you will report into the National Lead, Social Inclusion and be accountable for leading national social inclusion initiatives and strategies in South Australia. The SIC will work with Goodstart state leadership teams, Goodstart centres, government agencies and other not for profit agencies to ensure Goodstart includes and supports children and families who experience vulnerability.

The Social Inclusion Coordinator will contribute to the improvement of early childhood outcomes for children experiencing vulnerability by providing specialist inclusion advice, support and coaching; advocating and influencing decision makers; and forming strategic partnerships to support social impact within and beyond Goodstart. The Social Inclusion Coordinator will also contribute to long term planning and innovation to ensure that Goodstart delivers on it's purpose and achieves its goal of Inclusion for Everyone - children, families and Goodstart employees.

**Your Impact**:
Contribute to all of Goodstart’s strategic goals and especially the goal of Inclusion for Everyone - children, families and Goodstart employees.
Educate, coach and support centre teams and around centre support teams to implement and review targeted and intensive inclusion strategies to meet child and family needs.
Develop and implement specific strategies to enable Goodstart (and the broader Early Childhood Education and Care sector) to improve inclusion and access for children experiencing vulnerability.
Contribute to social inclusion policies, procedures and practices within Goodstart that will ensure access and inclusion of children who experience vulnerability and address issues for Goodstart employees who may be vulnerable or marginalised.
Provide leadership of organisational culture, projects and initiatives to meet the needs of children, families and employees who experience vulnerability within the relevant state.
Provide expertise, consultation and liaison for social inclusion initiatives and projects to ensure a state perspective is provided for state and/or national priorities.
Assist in developing the capacity of Goodstart to advocate with and on behalf of children experiencing vulnerability and their families at a local and systemic level.
Contribute to responses to calls for comment and participate in approved consultations on Government discussion papers and proposed strategies relevant to social inclusion.
Develop partnerships with other not for profit organisations, key community agencies and Government Departments in the relevant state to respond to the needs of children, families and employees who experience vulnerability.

**You’ll bring to the table**:
**Essential**:
Tertiary qualification in early childhood education and/or a and/or a health or social care discipline.
Experience in leading change within an early childhood or health or social care environment at a state level.
Comprehensive knowledge of community and government networks and resources with proven skills in utilising these to develop services and programs
Experience in successfully managing complex projects.
