**The Role**

The Student Placement Coordinator manages student placements within Centacare to deliver high quality social work field education, in partnership with Flinders University.

Student Placement Coordinator will liaise with Flinders University regarding placement planning for each semester, ensuring that the quota of student placements is achieved, and coordinate and participate in pre-placement interviews to help that student are matched to an appropriate placement within Centacare.

**What you need to bring**

**Essential**
- Must hold a recognised Social Work degree and be eligible for membership of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Minimum three years’ practice as a qualified social worker
- Current Child Safe Environments Certificate is required
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check. (previously known as ‘Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance’)
- Holds a current unencumbered Australian Driver’s Licence or equivalent, and is willing to drive
- Knowledge of learning theory, assessment and teaching approaches
- Experience in supervising students is desirable
