Project Scheduler

Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
- Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a
multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
- We currently have an opportunity for a Project Scheduler in Canberra to work on Joint projects **.**

**What You’ll Do**
- This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
- Lead or participate in scheduling workshops to assist team leads and project managers with resourcing, resource levelling, and dependency analysis.- Update schedule progress collaboratively with team leads and responsible stakeholders.- Report schedule progress regularly to project management to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.- Identify scheduling issues promptly and recommend effective remediation and resolution actions.- Deliver key scheduling outputs including Project Master Schedules, Work Breakdown Structures, WBS Dictionaries, and schedule reports.

**What You’ll Bring**- Solid understanding and experience in schedule management, methodologies, and tools, particularly Open Plan Professional.- Proven ability to develop schedules for large acquisition projects at various stages of their lifecycle.- Good understanding of Defence acquisition projects, with practical experience considered beneficial.-
- Essential schedule management professional accreditation (e.g., Open Plan Professional certification), with relevant project-related qualifications highly desirable.
- Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum ** Negative Vetting 1** or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with ** International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)** requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
