The Head of Business Development contributes to the Global healthcare Gateway through building a sustainable, diverse, and differentiated portfolio and pipeline through on-market/late stage branded dispensary and OTC assets. Revenue and cash flow targets will be achieved through In/Out licensing of assets, Product Acquisition & Divestment and Product Launch gap fill from 3rd party sources.

The Head of BD, will own and manage existing and future partnerships by leveraging our powerful operating platform / commercial capabilities and ability to extend profitable product life cycle. This role requires very strong experience within the proprietary products space in particular bringing those products to the local Australian market.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Responsible for the overall management of Australia’s business development function
- Assess markets and opportunities and determine the feasibility of strategic transactions
- Analyze records of operations, trends, costs, realized revenues, estimated revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues, expenditures and net income.
- Assess markets and opportunities for collaborations or licensing, and determine the feasibility of strategic transactions through robust financial modeling identifying maximum product sales potential.
- Identify unmet needs and underserved market segments for potential growth opportunities
- Direct and advise on post deal execution activities including the alignment of internal and external stakeholders to partnership objectives and key deal terms and milestones. Key interface for executive management who manages post-deal alignment on terms and conditions.
- High level contribution towards executive decisions made at CPC, IRC, Compliance Meetings, and Global Business reviews
- Project manage key deal milestones with internal stakeholders and prepare projects for the transition to our launch strategy teams.
- Monitors contractual obligations and compliance and leads efforts to resolve resulting issues
- Initiate, manage and negotiate new contracts, renewals, amendments and terminations inclusive of all partnerships including licensing, development, and other commercial agreements with Legal Department. Manage deal restructuring activities as needed.
- Monitor the technical implementation of existing contracts and proactively monitor fulfillment of Viatris’ rights and obligations. Partner closely with internal resources to identify effective strategies for managing a product's commercial life. This will include close and effective collaborations with regulatory, marketing, supply chain, compliance, finance, legal, etc. colleagues.

within the Senior Leadership Team as well as critical cross-functional stakeholders
