KM Talent has been retained exclusively to help a national law firm appoint a new Head of BD. If you are an experienced leader with proven success in managing a BD team and would relish driving an ambitious change and growth strategy, we would love to have an exploratory conversation with you.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Managing Partner, the Head of BD will develop the BD strategy for four key practice groups that require significant effort to drive improved revenue generation and market profile. You will lead a team of three to help deliver this BD strategy and you will optimise the team's capability through mentoring and team development. You will also act as mentor and best practice coach to other practice group BD Managers, helping the firm benefit from economies of scale plus best practice BD and increased advisory capability.

There is a separate Head of Communications who you will work closely with. The Head of BD sits on the firm's business services leadership team so has a genuine seat at the table.
- Proven success in leading a high performing BD team
- Professional services experience is essential, preferable at law firm
- Proven success in driving change and growth where both have been challenging
- Passionate about developing and mentoring teams
- You understand that growth isn't linear and takes time
