**About the Role**:
To provide support to the BHP Equity team with the management and administration of BHP’s employee equity (share) plans (executive awards and Shareplus) including annual equity plan activity management (enrolment, grants, dividends, purchases and vesting events) and management of employee equity plan and payroll accounting queries. Responsible for providing specialist advice and technical support regarding BHP’s equity plan to HR Operations and Reward as well as engagement with BHP’s share plan administrator, Computershare Trustee and Finance teams as required.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Provide equity plan advice and expertise to HR Operations and Reward, including support for investigating and resolving employee equity-related enquiries and escalations with BHP’s share plan administrator, payroll and BHP’s Reward team, as appropriate.
- Involvement in annual equity plan events, including project planning and management of grants, vesting, enrolment, dividends and voting, and management of day-to-day equity plan-related activities as it relates to each event.
- Ensure the remittance of Shareplus contributions for purchases are received from internal and outsourced payrolls and are complete and accurate. Support the contributions data submission to the share plan administrator.
- Provide assistance with employee and company tax reporting for employee equity plan income in multiple jurisdictions. Support the preparation of year end Shareplus tax reporting (including but not limited to Singapore Appendix C, Australia ESS, UK ERS, US 1099).
- Support for executive leaver processing as it relates to equity awards and coordinate the relevant approvals.
- Work closely with Finance and payroll accounting team to address reconciliation issues.
- Assist the Lead Equity with equity plan trust forecasting and consultation with the plan trustees.
- Support the development of equity plan capability and providing consulting and coaching / training to HR Operations team on BHP equity plans to ensure greater understanding of our plans, and the impact of HR processes on equity activities.

**About You**:

- Degree or equivalent education or 5+ years’ experience in an equity plan or reward role required
- Experience with the management and understanding of equity incentive plans, and relevant reward and remuneration processes
- Technical experience in equity plans or share plan administration in a global company.
- Excellent understanding of equity incentive plans, including
- different types of instruments, plan design, and administration
- Payroll and international remuneration processes
- General reward programs and relevant reward processes
- Reporting requirements and governance issues as they relate to equity and incentive plans including filing requirements and tax reporting
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and high numeracy and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in use of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of global jurisdictional differences, legislation and regulations a significant advantage
- Knowledge of equity plan-related tax and legal requirements preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously while prioritising and meeting deadlines.
- Project management skills an advantage. Experience in SAP preferred.
