**Job description**
- Purpose of role_

The Fleet Manager is responsible for ensuring that the fleet of vehicles providing student transport services remains roadworthy, operational, compliant with relevant regulations and is cost-effective. The role will support the demands and operational targets of the business and contribute to a safe, consistent and reliable service, with mínimal downtime.
- Main duties and responsibilities_

Primary objectives include:

- Optimise and manage fleet operations
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, compliance and safety
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports
- Contribute to risk and incident management
- Track and forecast expenditure and potential improvements

**Person Specification**
- Qualifications _
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and teams
National Criminal Record Check and complete Driving Record/History with flawless records
Paid Working With Children Check
- Experience_
- 3-5 years previous experience in logistics, fleet supervision or management, transport coordination or similar role.
Proven track record of coordinating with drivers, repair vendors, insurers and support staff
Experience handling accident reporting, insurance claims and safety investigations
Background in preventative maintenance scheduling
Management of fuel card system to analyse and ensure compliance fuel usage and costs
- Knowledge_
- Proficiency with vehicle inspections, licensing, and record keeping to company standards
Knowledge of fleet management software and GPS tracking software
- Skills & competencies_
- _Time management/organisation_: accomplish objectives effectively within given time frames, and carry out duties in an efficient and timely manner
