**The Role**
To uphold these high standards, and due to growth in our business, we are looking for a switched-on, organised and highly competent Quality Control Officer to join our team. This is a full-time position working from our Riverstone site, Monday to Friday. The role will be on a rotating 8 hour shift basis, between 6am to 7pm.
As the Quality Control Officer, you will spend the majority of your time on the factory floor, playing a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our commitment to food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conducting regular inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Performing sensory evaluations, microbiological testing, and other quality control tests on food products.
- Monitoring and documenting production processes to identify and address any deviations or non-conformities.
- Collaborating with production and quality assurance teams to implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of quality control activities and test results.
- Participating in internal audits and external inspections by regulatory agencies.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
- Providing training and support to production staff on quality control best practices.
**What we are looking for**
- Formal qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Microbiology or related fields
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar Food Safety or Quality Assurance Role
- Formal training or experience with HACCP, FSSC22000, BRC and SQF systems
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and quality assurance practices
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to drive change
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Self starter, takes the initiative to implement new ideas and systems to improve food safety and quality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
