Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Parliamentary Officer on a contract for 12 months.
**Position Overview**
The position will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities.
The Parliamentary and Ministerial teams work as one section to support the interrelated functions of the Agency. The position will develop a sound understanding of the work of the section and have the capacity to work flexibly across both teams.
The APS4 Parliamentary Support Officer (Labour Hire) will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex enquiries.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the coordination of parliamentary processes including NDIA appearances at senate estimates, committee hearings and Questions on Notice.
- Managing a shared mailbox including allocating tasks.
- Coordinating and tracking Questions on Notice and senate briefs using Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS).
- Tracking parliamentary processes and committee hearings.
- Drafting reports and coordination requests.
