As part of a team, the role of Training and Development Officer includes:

- Providing support to disability staff to facilitate progress through accredited and compliance training programs and liaise with service centre management to assist in resolving training and assessment related issues.
- Plan, administer and scheduling of disability specific learning and development programs across Disability Services.
- Support learning and development continuous improvement processes and the review of training products and curriculum development for accredited training.
- Utilise organisational learning management systems for training program scheduling, recording and reporting.
- Deliver and assess programs, as required, to support job readiness skills and ongoing skills requirements of Disability Services staff.
- Deliver and assess organisationally endorsed learning and development activities to meet organisational, legislative and industry standards including Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.

Role Specific/Technical Skills
- Qualifications in the disability or community sector at a Certificate IV or higher level are highly desirable and / or experience in the disability sector and an understanding or can demonstrate required skills and knowledge of competencies in the disability sector.
- The Certificate IV in training and assessment is also highly desirable and / or the ability to acquire the qualification.
- Travel is a requirement of the role across locations within Queensland, and a current and valid 'C' class driver's licence is a necessity to utilise government vehicles.
