**What is the opportunity?**

Based in Bendigo, Victoria's fastest-growing regional city, less than two hours' drive from Melbourne CBD, this is a unique opportunity to join a friendly and supportive market leader that values their staff and has strategic plans to grow

Metroid require an Operations Manager to take full responsibility of the manufacturing operations function including scaling operations, leading, and developing the team and further developing and managing multiple manufacturing processes.

This role has x8 direct reports including Production Team Leaders, Engineering Manager, Procurement Manager, Operations Administrator, and a wider team of 30+ who are all very intelligent, dynamic, and eager to learn.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Increase and maintain productivity of engineering and production staff
- Increase and maintain operational efficiency through systems and process improvement
- Scale operational capacity in line with sales growth
- Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through excellent communication, on-time delivery and high quality
- Maintain a culture of high performing, happy, challenged and winning team members
- Manage and execute key Operational Projects as identified by management team
- Grow operational capacity in line with sales, including recommendations to management team for additional hires/fires, team restructures, capital equipment etc
- Oversee OHS and ISO9001 Quality Management System

**The 'Ideal' person will have**:

- Several years of successful Manufacturing Operations Management experience
- Previous experience working closely with & managing engineering teams
- Experience in job shop manufacturing
- Previous supply chain / material management experience is advantageous
- Passion for growth and success in a family environment
- Strong people & communication skills
- Solution-focused and calm under pressure
- Proven experience in LEAN manufacturing and delivering change as well as implementing continuous improvement.
- Effective organisation skills
