We are looking for an experienced Technical Operations Manager who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the use of manufacturing technologies and best practices in McCain fry plants.

**About the role**
- Deliver vertical start-up of projects using Start-up Management processes for equipment
- Ensure growth and Capex projects incorporate the right technologies and best practices to optimize profitable growth
- Manage equipment commissioning, qualification, and verification (CQV) process for large scale projects
- Coach a team of individuals to the highest levels of project SuM
- Review and approve Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), and logic simulations
- Manage the hand-off transition between functions and ensure projects deliver against the business case
- Support plants to sustain and make continuous improvements against key manufacturing targets
- Manage the development, implementation and sustainment of McCain best operating practices
- Develop technical capabilities throughout the manufacturing organization
- Lead the development of new manufacturing technology pipeline and establish new processing benchmarks that drive continuous improvement
- Uplift capability of the Technical Operations and other functional teams to allow quick and seamless implementation of projects

**About you**
- University degree required in Engineering, Science or related field
- Minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Food Manufacturing industry
- Previous experience in a technical, engineering, operational and/or an R&D role is essential
- Demonstrated leadership and project management experience
- Strong business acumen, able to read and build financial reports
- Ability to manage a team, effectively delegate tasks, and measure progress
- Proven influence and decision-making skills with cross-functional business teams
- Strong technical aptitude, mechanical/electrical engineering, and/or plant automation, with the ability to improve process efficiencies - (Process engineering)
- Knowledge with Autonomous Maintenance Systems
- Knowledge of processing equipment, processing methods, manufacturing philosophies and basic manufacturing SOP’s
- Experience with start-up management concepts and equipment commissioning
- Experience in training and facilitation
