**About the role**

An opportunity has become available to lead and develop the Government and Defence Specialist Team. You will lead the Team in your region to enable them to achieve set targets, deliver market share growth and create awareness and demand for Milwaukee products in our key markets.

This position can be based in either Brisbane or Sydney.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** **Execute innovative sales strategies to convert users from existing brands to Milwaukee across all product categories and via your assigned teams.
- Enable your team to effectively present and sell the Milwaukee value proposition to defined users.
- Regularly report progress to the BDM on achievements to the planned strategy.
- Understand the user and dealer network thoroughly in your region so that you can direct your team effectively.
- Participate in sales events, state industry meetings, and social networks to represent company’s brand.
- Recruit, develop and retain talented individuals to your team.
- Build a high performing sales team whilst being conscious of contributing to a fair work/life balance for each team member.
- Provide leadership and direction, coach, mentor and develop your entire team.
- Conduct weekly, one on one, personal & professional development meetings for individual development and direction for each for your direct reports.
- Regularly undertake joint sales ride days with your team to review performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Minimum 1 year direct selling or business development/account management experience.
- Minimum 1 year of people management experience.
- Previous experience in working with the Defence or Government/Local Government/Emergency Services sectors would be highly regarded.
- Trade experience would be beneficial.
- High level communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving capability.
- Full driver's licence and excellent driving history.
