Melbourne, Australia Inject Full time

**About CDK Stone**

CDK Stone is the one to beat when it comes to providing total support to the stone industry. We are not only renowned for importing and selling high-quality natural stone and a premium range of tools and equipment, but we install, service, and maintain cutting-edge stone processing machinery for customers across Australia.

Whilst we are a national company, we have a close-knit warehouse and service team that supports our customers and the wider business. We are now looking to train and develop our next Inventory Controller to support our machinery division.

**Why You Want To Work Here**
- This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in inventory management. We don’t require any prior knowledge of our machines or experience in a similar role. Training will be provided and you will receive ongoing day-to-day support from members across our Service Department.
- You will learn about complex, automated machinery and help coordinate the movement of high quality, premium parts that will contribute to the success of a customer’s business.
- We take a long-term view when hiring and developing our team. There is an opportunity to progress your career into leading our Spare Parts Division and becoming a Technical Specialist.

**About You**
- In the past you may have had some exposure to ordering and counting stock in the warehouse or the shop floor. You found it fulfilling reporting accurate stock takes and took pride in ordering correct quantities.
- Interacting with customers and collaborating with others is where you get your energy. You want something that combines both in your next role because you are people-focused and enjoy working as part of a team.
- It's ok if you don't know much about industrial machinery. What's most important is that you are someone who enjoys learning new things and is always seeking feedback from your manager on how you can improve your skills.

**About the Role**

As a key person within the Service and Machinery Division, you will work closely with the warehousing and purchasing team by:

- Completing cycle counts and stock takes within the warehouse and ensuring that reconciliations are complete for stock takes.
- Assist with the despatch process by picking and packing machine parts and using the forklift to load products onto couriers (if you don’t have a forklift license, we will help you get one)
- Working in collaboration with the Purchasing Coordinator, updating them on outgoing stock and future requirements to meet customer needs.
- Ensuring that the warehouse is clean and tidy and OH&S standards, policies and procedures are being adhered to.
- Dispatching orders to customers

**Selection Criteria**

To be successful in this role, all we require is for you tick both criteria below:

- Customer service experience
- Interested in learning about technical products
