**About the role**

Ventia - Critical Infrastructure is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join their team. It is a division of Ventia which specialises in design, procurement, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of critical telecommunications power and related infrastructure.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Assist in the design of turnkey DC Power Systems for telecommunications equipment Diesel Generating Plant, UPS Systems earthing systems, building and civil works to support installations such as Solar Power systems
- Help the design and construction team to manage end to end projects including the forecast of materials, detailed quotes and engineering solutions for specific programs of work, monitor progress of completions against specified timeframes.
- Offer design support to Construction crews and in particular Construction Manager & on-site Supervisors.
- Liaise with suppliers in regard to products, warranties and delivery schedules and customers to meet desired design and project outcomes.
- Project Management including liaising with customers and offering support to installation personnel

**About you**
- A Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade qualifications with suitable experience
- A preparedness to work away from home as required on both resource sector projects and other telecommunications sites
- Ability to use various computer packages: Excel, Access & Microsoft Office Suite programs, CAD (Autodesk Autocad or Microstation) experience would be advantageous.
- Experience in Design Telepower Installations to current standards and regulatory requirements
- Design & Construction experience in DC power systems for telecommunications equipment, Diesel Generating Plant and UPS Systems.
- LV switchboard/submains design & Installation
- Provision of civil and building facilities is desirable.
