**About the role**

The Commercial Analyst is a key support role partnering directly with the sales retail team, you will be the finance smarts helping the team achieve their strategic business objectives. This role will provide accurate and insightful decision support, promotional analysis, planning and business reviews to support stakeholders in achieving their strategic ambitions. This role will work closely with retail brands and have a key focus on helping deliver initiatives for this exciting business.

**Duties**
- Be the finance expert for other departments, leading the commercial function within a small team
- Business partner key business stakeholders particularly the sales retail team
- Drive business growth through promotional analysis, pricing & ROI recommendations
- Business partner departments to deliver forecasts and budgets
- Set store targets monthly
- Challenge forecasts with the identification of risks and opportunities
- Scenario modelling of new opportunities to challenge the norm
- Provide weekly trading updates and commentary to senior stakeholders
- Lead action items from trading update outcomes
- Deliver monthly business reviews leading the financial forecast, hot topic & problem-solving sections
- Work closely with the finance manager to ensure team alignment and business messaging
- Deliver efficiencies through process improvements

**Skills and Experience**
- 5+ years finance experience
- CA / CPA Qualified or Experience
- Promotional strategy modelling experience
- Budgets & forecasting
- Excellent written & presentation skills
- Good systems skills (Retail Directions, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Business Partnering with stakeholders on all levels
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- FMCG or Retail experience desirable
