Sydney bar group Liquid & Larder is seeking a full-time bar manager to join Bistecca, an award-winning Italian cocktail bar and restaurant beneath Sydney’s CBD.
Since opening in July 2018, the venue located beneath Sydney’s CBD has made a name for itself as one of Sydney’s most in demand venues, well known for delivering a truly unique guest experience.
The venue has been awarded the Tony Hitchins Award for Australia’s Best New Wine List (2019 Gourmet Traveller Wine Awards), Three Glasses (2019, 2020 and 2021 Australian Wine Awards) and holds One Chefs Hat (Australian Good Food Awards).

**Core Responsibilities**:
- Customer service.
- Managing & leading a team of hospitality professionals to provide guests with a memorable experience.
- Cocktail ingredient preparation.
- Costing, ordering and stock management.
- Rostering.
- Opening & closing the venue.
**Essential skills & traits**:
- Proven ability to lead a team of experienced bar professionals.
- The ability to manage a world class cocktail list, from preparation and delivery.
- An engaging personality, someone who shares a truly authentic passion for quality food, drinks and service.
- Communication that is far from formal, but not quite colloquial.
- Generous hospitality - we aim to give people a rich experience worth remembering.
**Desirable skills & traits**:
- Management experience in high-end/hatted restaurants.
**About Bistecca**:
Sprawled across three distinctive spaces beneath the CBD, the venue is designed for pure escapism by being transported to another time and place. The focus of the cocktail bar is to deliver flawless and revered Italian classic cocktails, alongside an abundance of Amari primarily sourced from Italy and Australia.
A concealed dining room is dedicated to serving one main dish - bistecca alla Fiorentina cooked over charcoal in an open hearth. The intimate fifty seater restaurant in an intimate setting alongside.
