We are seeking an EDMS Technical Officer to join our Operational Team within the Information, Controls & Energy Group in the Customer Delivery Division.

**The Opportunity**

As the EDMS Technical Officer you will primarily be responsible for the effective administration and maintenance of Hunter Water’s Engineering Document Management System (EDMS). This role ensures the organisation, secure storage, and seamless accessibility of engineering drawings and documents while maintaining compliance with Hunter Water’s standards and procedures.

**What you'll do**:

- EDMS Administration: Support the management and maintenance of Hunter Water’s Lunr-based EDMS to ensure efficient organisation, secure storage, and easy retrieval of engineering drawings and documents.
- Technical Standards Management: Assist in reviewing, updating, and modifying Hunter Water’s technical standards for drawings to ensure alignment with current regulations and organizational needs.
- Work as Constructed (WAC) Documentation: Facilitate the provision, review, and distribution of WAC documentation and associated information related to Hunter Water’s assets and infrastructure.
- User Support and Training: Provide guidance, training, and technical support to staff and external stakeholders on the use of the Lunr-based EDMS, document workflows, and the retrieval of plans and associated information.
- Provide support to the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) team as needed, ensuring effective workload
distribution and promoting sustainable workload management across both the EDMS and CMMS teams.
- Contribute to system enhancement initiatives, resolve technical issues, and ensure the Lunr-based EDMS operates smoothly and meets the
organisation’s evolving requirements.

**What you'll need to be successful**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Formal qualifications in AutoCAD or a comparable drafting and design software
- Over 2 years of proven professional experience in engineering design, drafting, or related fields, with a strong track record of delivering quality outcomes and meeting project objectives
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a strong capacity to assess and interpret complex data and information to make well-informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships, collaborate across teams, and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong enthusiasm for enhancing drawing systems and developing standards to drive innovation and operational efficiency
- Commitment to continual learning and professional development, staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary environments and contribute to a cohesive team culture.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Demonstrated experience in Autodesk AutoCAD
- Demonstrated experience using and developing an Electronic Document Management System.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge with other Autodesk products i.e. Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D Toolset, Navisworks etc.
- Demonstrated experience with other market leading 3D CAD programs
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting engineering plans and drawings
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a diverse range of conflicting prioriti
