- Collaborate with University and Gosford Regional Library staff to develop programs and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, escalating issues when needed.
- Promote the MakerSpace through social media and community engagement.
How will you inspire us?
You’re a tech‑savvy, people‑focused professional who thrives in creative environments. You enjoy working collaboratively and are passionate about helping others learn and explore.
You’ll have:
- A degree with relevant experience, or a diploma with at least 2 years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of educational technologies and MakerSpace tools (e.g. 3D printers, design software, electronics, sewing machines).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Experience designing and delivering workshops or training sessions.
- A commitment to equity, diversity, and creating culturally safe spaces.
We provide opportunities for all people regardless of their background and experience, and this philosophy is reflected across all that we do.
The University of Newcastle is an equal opportunity employer committed to equity, diversity and social inclusion. Women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.
Why join us?
- A supportive and inclusive team environment.
- Opportunities to innovate and shape a growing service.
- Access to professional development and university benefits.
