- Permanent Full Time
- $98,435pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 6 of EBA5
- 9 day fortnight
- 72.5 hour fortnight
- Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
- Location: predominantly Strathpine, but this position works across Council offices, depots and sites.

**About our opportunity**

This is a great time to join our growing wellbeing and safety team in this **BRAND NEW **additional safety training role focused on **developing and implementing our safety training framework**.

This is a role that will give you scope to bring forward your ideas to really **shape** what our** safety training approach** will be, and have elements of both **strategic** planning/ analysis as well as on the ground **facilitation of training programs**.

With a collaborative approach that consults and draws on the expertise of many stakeholders, you will:

- Develop and maintain the safety learning needs analysis to identify mandatory and role specific training requirements.
- Undertake gap analysis on the current programs offered to establish a structured plan going forward.
- Identify delivery methods to enhance learning outcomes, considering target audiences and ensuring program content enhances capability in safety management system requirements and caters for diversity of workforce and learning styles.
- Lead the review of safety training programs offered externally to Council, to ensure quality and efficiency of service level.
- Partner with the Capability team to develop training in any online formats.
- Establish a structured format and reporting mechanism to monitor safety training compliance within the business.

**About you**

You will be an experienced **learning and development professional** with a **passion for all things safety**

A natural facilitator, you will be experienced in **developing and delivering training capability programs** and resources that effectively **deliver key messages to a diverse workforce**... ideally with a technical safety focus.

With an understanding of the process to **undertake Training Needs Analysis** and experience designing Verification of Competency Programs, you will be confident in your ability to **deliver training that meets legislative and organisational requirements**.
