With outstanding performance across Supercheap Auto, the Merchandise Leadership team are excited to announce that we are looking for a new Business Manager to join our team.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role will see you lead a team to deliver a customer centric shopping experience within a group of products and leading a large team to support delivery in the divisional strategic plan.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Lead achievement of sales, GP and Inventory budgets, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement that support the divisional strategic objectives
- Manage the optimization of profitability by guiding the optimum calibration of inventory management, product development and sourcing strategies to deliver commercial targets
- Conduct regular accountable conversations with all direct reports, coaching, guiding and directing the team to deliver on business objective while supporting effective performance delivery
- Lead the business unit team in the development of bottom-up strategic plans, while contributing to divisional top down planning and guiding alignment of the two. Strategic plans should support delivery of our brand purpose and maintain the relevance and appeal for our customer.
- Lead product development and innovation for the business unit, ensuring delivery of new product development and private brand growth against category targets
- Monitor the maintenance of appropriate product layouts for the relevant product range, ensuring the physical presentation of the range supports strategic objectives for the category and business unit

To be successful in this position
- You will be a seasoned Merchandise professional, with extensive applied experience in Category Management
- You will have demonstrated experience with both Local and Off-Shore product buying
- A high degree of experience in Trade Partner relationship management
- Experience with Automotive is not essential, however you will have experience from within Retail or the Consumer industries
- You will have experience in people leadership in either a supervisory or leadership position
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
