**Position Information**:
Concord West Public School is a dynamic, vibrant primary school which has served the local community for 93 years.
Our school celebrates and values our diverse community, with 360 students coming from 39 different language backgrounds and with 83% of students coming from non-English speaking backgrounds. Our main community languages are Chinese, Korean, Hindi and Mongolian. Parents have high expectations and are very involved and supportive of the school.
The teaching staff is an effective mix of experienced and early career teachers. The school achieves strong academic results and offers a broad curriculum with educational experiences that are designed so that all children can reach their personal, social and academic potential. Opportunities are available for students in sport, debating, public speaking, coding, community languages, instrumental music ensembles and the esteemed interschool band, Symphonia Jubilate.

**Selection Criteria**:
1. In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary and highly developed instructional leadership skills in literacy and numeracy. Demonstrated ability to lead effective curriculum development and enhance data informed, evidence-based quality teaching and learning resulting in continued student growth and attainment.
2. Demonstrated ability in understanding the wellbeing needs of a diverse range of students with proven ability to collaboratively develop, implement and evaluate supportive, wellbeing programs.
3. Demonstrated capacity to lead, support and mentor staff in using Information Communication Technology (ICT) to implement highly effective future focused educational programs and administration practices.
4. Proven capacity to lead with high levels of emotional intelligence and a solutions-focused mindset, whilst empowering and building positive relationships with students, staff and school community, to establish an aspirational learning environment focused on high expectations.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
