About the role
The Parliamentary Service is restructuring and modernising its HR capability by creating a new People and Culture (P&C) team, and entering a transformation period for Payroll Services with a key focus on improved optimisation of technology and the introduction of digital solutions, such as Aurion's Timekeeper time-sheeting module.
The Parliamentary Service's HR Information System (Including payroll) utilises Aurion Payroll and HR Software.
The Payroll Services Unit lies within the division for Corporate and Electorate Services and works closely with the P&C and Finance and Administrative Services teams, also with that division.
This Payroll Project Specialist role has been established for an initial period of 12 months with the key objectives of:
- Understanding and analysing the digital payroll services offered by the Aurion HRIS software system in the context of the Parliamentary Service's business needs.
- Reviewing current payroll related business processes to identify opportunities for digitising the employee payroll experience.
- Working proactively with the Payroll and People and Culture (P&C) teams and shared service client representatives (where appropriate) to identify digital integration challenges opportunities and solutions.
- Ensuring executive support and commitment to the roll out of the digital transformation project and close engagement with the key project stakeholders and sponsor.
- Coordinating regular project communications and provide critical input into the design and development of training programs for new digital processes for senior managers and employees.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Payroll Project Specialist to lead a high profile project with direct impacts and benefits for a broad range of key stakeholders including Members of Parliament and Parliamentary management and other staff.
The successful applicant will deal on a regular basis building relationships with clients and service providers and be largely responsible for developing and driving the work program.
As a small yet diverse organisation, the Parliamentary Service offers a rare opportunity for the right person to lead the successful delivery of payroll automation from the ground up across all aspects of the business.
