We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the Lion Enterprise Services team. This role is can be based at our Sydney York Street office, or 100% remote from Sydney, Brisane or Melbourne on a 12 month fixed term contract, reporting into our Senior Payroll Analyst. In line with Lion’s flexible work policy, you will also be able to work from home 50% of the time if desired.

This is a high impact role responsible for the processing of Lion Payroll whilst ensuring governance and control of payments to team members in accordance with legislation and Lion Policy.

Key accountabilities focus on the smooth running and payroll processing to ensure Team Members at Lion are paid in an accurate and timely way. We’re looking for Payroll Specialist who are going to provide a high level of analytical and critical thinking with demonstrated learning agility. Process Excellence is central to what we do in People Services, so a focus on ongoing Process Improvement will be a key deliverable.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Experience with end-to-end payroll processing would be desired
- Experience with different payroll systems and a proven ability to learn how to use new systems quickly
- Experience in a Success Factors environment is preferred
- Experience with Ramco, and/or Kronos would be desirable
- At least 3+ years’ experience in a payroll role covering Australia and NZ
- Work as a team to collaborate with relevant Business Units through various analytical, problem solving and process improvement scenarios
- Business analysis techniques
- Payroll Systems, legislation, and processes knowledge
- Interpreting complex Enterprise Agreements and Employment conditions.
- Experience with redundancy and long service leave calculations
