**Your new role**

As the Risk Management Coordinator, you will provide members with risk management support and services, coordinate the management of the risks and business continuity, and any special projects.
- Develop and foster valuable business relationships with members, and service providers, providing excellent customer service and support in a prompt, professional and timely manner.
- Respond to member risk management queries, maintaining a register of queries received, research undertaken, advice obtained, and information shared.
- Research, investigate, analyse and collaborate with industry leaders and contacts for risk queries and develop best practice approach and resources, as required.
- Escalate unresolved risk queries to the Risk Management Committee for review and recommend action.
- Coordinate and support Risk Management Committee Working Parties, Claims Forums and Best Practice Groups, as well as member funding grants and risk award initiatives.
- Assist in developing a training and professional development plan based on member risk requests, emerging risks, claim trends, regulatory changes,

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualification and/or industry experience in risk management, business continuity and compliance
- Prior experience in finance and member services management and advantage
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively when presenting to the Board of Directors
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work both without supervision and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage budgets
- Local Government and Mutual industry experience an advantage
- First aid experience and/or certification an advantage
