**The Role**
As an APS 6 Team Leader, you will undertake the following tasks:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure superior customer service and optimal outcomes for case management and stakeholders.
- Build and sustain a supportive and inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
- Address issues escalated by team members and promptly provide effective solutions.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including delegating tasks and setting clear team goals.
- Encourage and support the ongoing development of team members and their understanding of risk management processes.
- Undertake analysis of cases and provide quality assurance of cases completed by others, against policy, procedures and all relevant data sources to identify risks and potential mitigations.
- Develop your team’s ability to make recommendations to the delegate clearly and concisely articulating relevant factors.
- Respond to, or provide quality assurance for responses to, stakeholder information and records management requests.
- Manage, and ensure your team manages, records in accordance with relevant legislation and Defence policies and procedures.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders to achieve best practice and where appropriate share risk assessments and trend analysis.
**About our Team**
Security Policy and Services Branch is looking to welcome motivated individuals to support the assessment of foreign work authorisation (FWA) requests in relation to the Safeguarding Australia’s Military Secrets framework.
The branch is looking for an APS 6 Team Leader to lead an FWA requests assessment team, who make recommendations to the delegate based on best security practice.
