The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is the lead agency under the Stronger Communities Cluster. DCJ works to enable everyone's right to access justice and help for families through early intervention and inclusion, with benefits for the whole community. Stronger Communities is focussed on achieving safe, just, inclusive, and resilient communities by providing services that are effective and responsive to community needs.
**Your role**
The Manager of Release & Change is in charge of setting up and refining policies, processes, and procedures to make sure any changes or transitions to the live operational environment—whether new, modified, or retired services—meet the agreed expectations of the business, customers, and users.
**What you’ll do**
- Plan and Manage Changes: Oversee the assessment, analysis, development, documentation, implementation, and integration of all service changes. Evaluate risks to the live environment’s integrity and ensure effective control to maintain availability, performance, security, and compliance.
- Deploy and Review Changes: Plan and execute transitions and change releases into a supported live environment. Review the effectiveness of these changes and suggest improvements to change management procedures.

- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate open communication and discussions among stakeholders. Act as the main point of contact by developing and maintaining stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
- Technical Advice: Develop an understanding of practice areas to provide technical knowledge and advice on transition and change services, aiding business decision-making and ensuring these services meet business value objectives.

- Ensure processes exist for sustainable service provision, often dealing with complex challenges that require quick resolutions.
- Confirm outcomes and results, identify lessons learned, and develop action plans to ensure releases are effective and business outcomes are achieved.
- Review and evaluate the actual performance and outcomes of new or modified services against predicted outcomes to verify the success of changes.
