
Engagement and Project Support Officer

The Engagement and Project Support Officer will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders from government, private, public and community sectors as well as renters at the North Richmond housing estate to support the High Rise Redevelopment Relocations program within North Division.
The High Rise Redevelopment is Australia's largest urban renewal project. It will transform Melbourne's social housing neighbourhoods, replacing 44 ageing high rises and other buildings with modern, accessible and energy efficient homes and improved community facilities.
Once completed, there will be at least 10% more social housing for Victorians who need it and more homes close to schools, services, transport and jobs.
The role will provide support and delivery of site level planning, governance, community and stakeholder engagement, projects and correspondence for the high-rise public housing relocation program. The role provides wide ranging project, administrative, secretariat and support functions.
This role will work collaboratively with existing community engagement and resident voice initiatives to ensure that public housing renters, partner agencies and the wider community have appropriate information and can provide feedback on the high-rise redevelopment program. These include the Yarra Resident Voice and the North Richmond Precinct Community Committee at the Yarra Estates Community Capacity Building team.

- Experienced and skilled in providing administrative and project support, and able to manage and prioritise competing demands?
- Passionate about community engagement and ensuring that public housing residents have can fully participate in relocation related planning and actions that impact on their lives?
- An excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to work?
- Able to work with mínimal supervision in a dynamic environment and take initiative?
- Applications from residents of public or social housing will be prioritised. Applications are particularly encouraged from residents of public housing, members of culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CALD), women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
