**About the branch**:
The Property and Strategic Reform Branch is a key enabler for the department and supports the department’s mission by providing staff with a safe, resilient, and productive work environment.
The Branch provides and maintains properties and facilities that are aligned with the department’s supports the department’s preparedness to maintain critical functions because of an emergency or disruption.
The Branch is also responsible for driving long-term strategy and implementing reform initiatives. It plays a crucial role in supporting and guiding lead business areas by providing them with the necessary tools and strategic focus to successfully deliver on reform objectives.
**The opportunity**:
We are looking to fill multiple vacancies across the branchs' property and strategic reform responsibilities, both for ongoing and non-ongoing positions.

Strategic reform offers the opportunity to expand networks and build relationships with various business areas engaged in reform implementations, including policy development, advisory service, and enabling business service areas.
- The ability to recommend strategic direction and drive continuous improvement in policies, procedures, and practice.
- Stakeholder management experience, including the ability to foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to achieve outcomes.
- Experience developing and mentoring a team to deliver high quality and innovative client-focused services in a large geographically dispersed organisation.
- The proven ability to develop and drive the strategic agenda and manage a team to deliver high quality results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate information clearly and concisely to a range of audiences including senior executives.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and an ability to show good judgement, think strategically and logically.
- Flexibility and agility to manage a diverse workload and competing priorities in a busy team environment.
Experience in, project management, financial management or the Whole-of-Australian-Government Coordinated Procurement Arrangements for property-related services will be an advantage for Property opportunities.
Experience working within program management frameworks and policies will be an advantage for Strategic Reform opportunities.
**What you will do**:
The Branch is seeking to fill and create a merit pool for a range of Executive Level 1 positions in project management and strategic reform. These roles may see you:
- Supporting the department to design and implement innovative accommodation fit-out options to support modern ways of working.
- Implementing effective administrative processes to ensure the departments estate and infrastructure is effectively managed and fit for purpose.
- Managing and oversighting accommodation and building projects, and associated project management procedures.
- Coordinating the implementation of strategic reform within the department - tracking, monitoring and reporting on progress.
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement across business areas implementing reform initiatives.
- Further develop the project management foundations to support programs of work and reforming areas.
As an Executive Level 1, and in accordance with the APS work level standards, you will:
- Manage a team of staff and suppliers to deliver outcomes to the required time, budget and quality targets while maintaining a positive culture.
- Development and the implementation of systems and processes that ensure accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
