Our client, Workcover Queensland, has been providing workers’ compensation insurance in Queensland for more than twenty years. Supporting Queensland workers and businesses is at the heart of everything they do. From customer service and managing claims, to accessing rehabilitation, preventing injuries, and making sure employers have the right cover to protect their team. **About the Role**
Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to redesign, develop, curate, and scale the delivery of the employee onboarding experience, with a continuous improvement approach to all aspects of service delivery.
We're looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Learning Specialist with previous experience working in a fast-paced environment. This role will suit someone with experience in Human Resources, particularly learning and development, who enjoys working across both strategic planning and hands-on execution of learning experiences.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead the redesign, development and delivery of the employee on-boarding program
- Collaborate within People group and the L&D team, leaders and business groups to identify and analyse learning/capability needs and develop appropriate activities and programs for individuals and teams
- Review existing learning material and ensure it meets the current and future needs of the program
- Design, develop and deliver quality learning content, artefacts, activities and curriculum development with guidance from the L&D Managers
- Adopt a blended learning approach demonstrating talent in online and face to face design and delivery
- Consult with leaders and stakeholders to gain knowledge of customer and people issues to construct learning solutions
**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in Learning Design, Design, Human Resources or Organisational Psychology
- Minimum five year’s learning and development experience in the management, design and delivery of learning initiatives including:
- utilising contemporary sources to assure modern practice in developing learning and development solutions
- A record of implementing learning and development solutions that meet an organisation’s goals
- Demonstrated understanding of instructional design theories, methodologies and best practices including blended learning methods
- A high-level understanding of capability frameworks, future skills, capability evaluation and assessment
- Ability to write and design content that is appropriate and engaging to the intended audience
- Results focussed, to ensure goals are clearly understood and delivered upon
- Positive attitude and professional etiquette
- Excellent rapport building skills
