Exciting opportunity for a business needs/project focused Desktop Manager to support
**Your new role**
This service is also responsible for the ongoing evolution of SAPOL’s ICT capability through project support and delivery of change programs. It is largely IT focused but encompasses a specialist radio and technology capability, that includes laser and radar calibrations services.
The Manager Desktop Support will oversee the day-to-day operations of the desktop support team, planning, coordinating, and monitoring a high-quality customer-centric function that supports SAPOL and their various operations, sites, and services. This person will need to be a natural leader and mentor, who shows initiative and an autonomous ability to support, develop and upskill the desktop team and their service output.
This is a full-time, fixed term opportunity until the 17/07/24
**What you'll need to succeed**
Leadership and management skills with the ability to work with autonomously and delegate effectively
An ability to work with broad directions, improve service delivery, and undertake budget planning, financial management and workforce management functions.
Practical experience with procurement practices and undertaking of procurement activities.
Advanced analytical, strategic, innovative, and conceptual thinking skills
Successful record of identifying customer needs, developing service strategies, and providing quality customer services
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including an ability to impart information and communicate complex technical ICT concept to a wide range of audiences, including the development of documentation to a high standard.

$106,512-$115,137 + Superannuation
