Our client is a market leading national lubrication equipment business in Australia. They are now looking to appoint a National Sales Manager to be based in Sydney.
The National Sales Manager will increase the company’s market share by building and maintaining strategic relationships in a highly-segmented marketplace comprised of buying groups, national accounts and strategic partners. The individual will be directly responsible for managing national and key accounts, along with driving a national sales team situated throughout Australia. This person will collaborate with other staff functions to ensure appropriate resources are available and focused to support selling objectives.
**RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITY**
**SALES**:
- Lead from the front on sales objectives for the lubrication equipment across the Australian region
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
- Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large accounts
- Develop Product Positioning and messaging incl. product differentiation
- Enable Sales by communicating the value proposition of products to the Sales team
- Develop Sales tools to support selling process of products
- Gather market intelligence on Buyers and Competitors
- Prepare periodic sales pipeline reports showing sales volume and potential sales
- Assist sales team with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
- Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness
- Assist marketing group in monitoring competitor products, pricing, sales and marketing activities
- Develop strategies and marketing programs to generate demand for products
- Collaborate with marketing and product managers to develop and executive marketing strategies for products in all stages of the product life cycle
- Implement advertising and promotion programs in conjunction with marketing and affiliated agencies
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
- Represent company at trade association meetings, trade events, etc. to promote product
- Assist with responses to requests for proposals, direct prospective client tours, prepare pricing, and create sales presentations.
- Work with various teams to ensure harmonization is sustained throughout the business Product Marketing team including Marketing Communications & Order Administrators
- Working relationships with cross functional teams (Product Managers & Marketing team)
- Sustain relationships with our key stakeholders, which includes Key Accounts, Distributors and Customers
- Invest time and effort to build new business with the key focus channeling the company vision - customer satisfaction
- Comply with all Employment legislation including Harassment, Bullying, EEO & Industrial awards as per Training and awareness given by the company
**FINANCIAL**:
- Analyse and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
- Establish key account sales budgets - driven for growth
- Develop and manage territory managers sales targets, revenue growth plans and new business opportunities
- Ensure gross margins are sustained
- Ensure discount structures and rebates are aligned with industry best practice whilst ensuring growth predictions are achievable
