**About the role**
Here at RACQ, we are looking for a Team Manager to lead our Motor Assessing team In this role you will lead a team of 10-12 assessors, based on several Assessing Team locations across Queensland. This role is fast-paced, dynamic and evolving. We work within a diverse workforce of energised, enthusiastic, and caring people, and constantly strive to deliver the best possible service to our members.
We have operations based on site at Selected Repairers as well as working from home in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. Our leaders need to be flexible in their work locations as travel is required occasionally to these locations. In this role your key duties will include:
- Overseeing repairable and total loss motor vehicle assessments
- Liaising with members and customers on the outcomes of assessments that may include researching market values for total loss claims
- Managing the repair process outcomes and responding to enquiries from members and the Motor Claims Operations team
- Setting clear expectations and direction, coaching and motivating team members; including leading by example to achieve member, operational and engagement goals, and objectives
- Contributing and driving quality, timeliness and cost outcomes within the assessing team and the repair network; identifying emerging risks and opportunities for improvement
- Ensuring compliance across OEM Manufacturer Repair Methods, and adherence to the Motor Vehicle Repaid Industry Code of Conduct of which RACQ are a signatory.

- Experience leading/managing frontline Assessing teams including virtual teams
- Proven leadership, and the demonstrated ability to engage and promote a positive work culture

- An understanding of the claims processes and environment is beneficial
- Adaptability; able to manage through weather events and changing environments
- The ability to understand and interpret legislation and technical product documentation
