**The Role**
The APS6 ILS Officer - Sustainment is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex materiel logistics work within an integrated workforce. You are accountable to ensure you have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

You will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues. You are required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.

**About our Team**
The APS6 ILS Officer will work within the Directorate of Health Material, Logistics and Pharmacy (DHMLP) as part of Joint Health Command. Joint Health Command is responsible for the delivery of best practice health care to ADF members and support to operations, with DHMLP playing a key role in determining the requirements for health material and ensuring standards are met.

The APS6 ILS Officer will report to the SO1 Health Materiel and will work within a team of Defence members, civilians and industry partners.
- Experience in a related/relevant field such as logistics, supply chain, business, fleet and asset management, providing customer and stakeholder driven outcomes and provide complex logistics reports.
- Experience working in and/or providing support to Integrated Logistics Support management and legislative frameworks.
- It is very important you are able to work independently with attention to detail, demonstrated high level planning, organisational and time management skills as you will need to manage multiple task concurrently.
- A confident communicator, who is collaborative, agile and can effectively manage within an integrated team environment.
- Engagement with stakeholders is an essential part of this position which requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish strong working relationships. You will need to provide clear and concise written information to stakeholders and draft policy and procedure documents so high level written communication levels are required.
- Be competent utilising logistics systems ICT and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
