This large government department is responsible for delivery of services and projects to the Australian Public.

**Your new role**

This role is a management accountant role to lead strategic capital budgeting framework and processes. This role look to lead process improvement across capital project finances (including strategic framework and processes) and to provide strategic advice to forward plan the department’s capital budgeting requirements. This supports external budget strategies and internal budget reviews and allocation.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- ** Excellent relationship management skills **- The ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to achieve a high level of trust and respect to influence outcomes and communicate findings.
- ** Technical knowledge** - Demonstrated experience in management accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial accounting in the government sector.
- ** Analytical - **The ability to identify underlying issues and interrogate financial information in various formats**.**:

- ** Regular communication and collaboration - **Understand the business environment, challenges and priorities.
- ** Astute judgement** - The capability to assess a situation, weigh up risk and reward and act with integrity and professionalism when dealing with sensitive or classified information.
