EL1 Program Manager

The Consumer Energy Resources (CER) Taskforce is seeking an EL1 Program Manager to join the Program Office within the Electricity Division, DCCEEW. This role will contribute to the delivery of the CER Roadmap through program planning, delivery and reporting.
Contract Details- Classification: EL1
- Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of extension
- Start Date: 13 October 2025 (or earlier, depending on availability)
- Location: Canberra (combination of in-office and work-from-home negotiable)
- Workload: Full-time or part-time
In this role, you will:
- Provide project management support to deliver CER Roadmap projects within set timeframes.
- Facilitate communication across teams and workstreams to ensure consistency in project management approaches.
- Draft, review, monitor and update project documentation, including project plans, budgets, risk registers, dashboards and meeting papers.
- Consult with stream leads to coordinate program-level reporting requirements and produce high-quality reports.
- Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication, collaboration, negotiation and governance practices.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Energy Group to support the business of the CER Working Group, CERTRG and the CER Taskforce.
- Experience in project and/or program management, ideally in a government or policy environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.
- A Baseline Vetting security clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain one).
