We're seeking an experienced EL1 Project Manager to help deliver a program that simplifies and harmonises complex legislation. You'll drive planning and delivery across policy, systems and people, working with specialists to keep scope, schedule and risks on track.

What you'll do

  • Define and manage deliverables, schedule, benefits, financials, risks, issues and dependencies
  • Deliver outcomes within agreed time, cost and quality parameters
  • Coordinate stakeholders and manage dependencies to support delivery
  • Prepare regular status reports and maintain project registers & docs

About you

  • Extensive business project management experience in complex environments
  • Strong grasp of project management methods & techniques
  • Experience in complex policy settings (compensation legislation knowledge desirable)
  • Clear communicator; critical thinker; calm under pressure; manages competing priorities

Contract & conditions

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours/week | Contract to 30 June 2026 (possible extension)
  • $80-$90 per hour + super (EL1 equivalent), negotiable
  • Baseline clearance sponsored after engagement (you can start without one)
  • Work uses department systems; no offshore data storage/access
