**About OPAN**:
The Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) is a national network of independent member organisations that give a voice to older people who are eligible or receiving aged care services. Working alongside the government, OPAN is driven to influence aged care policy through systemic advocacy, by delivering advocacy services for older people across Australia.

**About the role**:
This role is key to developing OPAN’s already established risk management strategy, including the quality and compliance aspects. The role itself will be varied and diverse, in a fast-paced organisation, and will encompass a holistic approach to quality, risk, and compliance.

**Role responsibilities**:
As the Quality, Risk and Compliance Officer, you will work closely with a proactive management team, leading the organisation in effectively providing support across a range of areas critical to the operation and maintenance of OPAN. You will also be involved in:

- Ensuring the organisation meets the requirements of relevant Standards.
- Contributing to the development, maintenance and implementation of policy, procedures, projects and other initiatives, to support OPAN’s strategic and quality plan.
- Leading, supporting, and developing existing quality and compliance projects
- Maintaining an established compliance register, coordinating across the team to ensure compliance activities are completed, recorded, and up to standard.
- Provide project management support for the key NACAP projects, including engaging with key stakeholders and network members.

**Essential Requirements**:
To succeed in the role, you will be an experienced quality and compliance officer with a flair for project management. You will also have:

- At least 5 years prior experience in a similar role, managing risk and compliance.
- An understanding of the Aged Care or Not for Profit sector, including the various safeguards and policies.
- Demonstrated a collaborative and respectful approach to quality and compliance, as well as the ability to train and mentor the wider team on the needs of the organisation.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a logical and process-driven approach to compliance and risk management.
- Excellent organisational and administration skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
- Valid national police check, or willingness to complete.
