ROLE

Seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Officer to strengthen and embed the organisation's governance, risk, and compliance frameworks while supporting leadership with professional standards and disciplinary matters.

This role works closely with the CFO and Legal Counsel and integral in supporting the organisation stay compliant with all laws and professional standards and ensures risks are identified, managed, and reduced.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the CFO and Legal Counsel with the management of complaints, investigations, and disciplinary matters.
  • Maintain and enhance the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) framework.
  • Identify and manage organisational risks and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Prepare and present risk and compliance reports to senior management and committees.
  • Review internal policies and ensure alignment with regulatory and governance standards.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen compliance awareness and embed risk practices across teams.
  • Oversee the development of compliance training and incident response processes.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in risk and compliance, or governance in a similar setting (Essential)
  • Experience in disciplinary or complaint processes is essential (e.g. managing investigations or member issues. (Essential)
  • Professional Member services Association industry experience (Preferred)
  • Background in business, law, or compliance with strong attention to detail, communication, and policy interpretation skills.
