ORGANISATION

ROLE

Seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Officer to strengthen and embed the organisation's governance, operational risk, and compliance frameworks.

This role supports the CFO and Legal Counsel to ensure the organisation meets all legal, regulatory, and professional standards, with a strong focus on organisational and operational risk, policy integrity, and professional conduct management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the CFO and Legal Counsel with the management of complaints, investigations, and disciplinary matters related to professional standards.
  • Maintain and enhance the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) framework across the organisation.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate organisational and operational risks (non-financial).
  • Develop and review internal policies, ensuring alignment with governance and professional standards.
  • Prepare clear and insightful risk and compliance reports for senior management and committees.
  • Lead initiatives that build compliance awareness and embed risk practices within teams.
  • Support the development of incident response and compliance training processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in risk, compliance, or governance within a professional membership, regulatory, or public-sector environment. (Essential)
  • Experience in disciplinary or complaints management, including investigations or professional standards processes. (Essential)
  • Demonstrated capability in policy development, risk identification, and compliance reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, or Governance.
