**The Role**
The Explosive Ordinance Assurance Manager is responsible for Planning, coordinating and reporting on the Explosive Ordinance Inventory Sample. You will be required to work with internal Defence stakeholders to meet policy requirements and facilitate the resolution of issues.
The Explosive Ordinance Assurance Manager will also act as the single Point of Contact for all Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) Explosive Ordinance enquiries and additional information requests. The Explosive Ordinance Assurance Manager is also responsible for ensuring that all evidence for the requested listings is received from Defence stakeholders, checked and provided to the ANAO within required timeframes.
**About our Team**
Working as part of a small team, you will use stocktake experiences to schedule, develop procedures and then oversee the execution of Explosive Ordinance assurance programs within Defence. A critical part of the role is the ability to extract data from inventory systems and to utilise Excel to manage the data and develop complex reports that provide both Defence and the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) with outcomes that form an important part of the annual reported Defence logistics assurance requirements.
Extensive stocktake and data analysis experience will inform you issues of identified by site teams and developed solutions for approval which then document and record outcomes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills is essential as you will be required to work with both warehouse and governance staff from multiple sites across Defence and you will represent Defence at the technical level with the ANAO.
As an APS6 Logistics Assurance Officer you will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex logistics compliance and assurance work within an integrated workforce.
You will also be required to work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of your work.
The role will also require:
- Ability to provide detailed logistics compliance and assurance, technical and professional advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.
- Stakeholder engagement in relation to complex issues. You will also be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
