Our Opportunity

The Daikin Trade Centers (DTC) supports existing and new trade customers in the Air Conditioning and accessories market. An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Sales team in Scoresby, Victoria.

Reporting to the Domestic Sales Manager, this exciting role is responsible for the development and promotion of the DTCs in Victoria.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to:
Develop business opportunities
- Create and promote awareness of the Daikin Trade Centers within the local HVAC Industry.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities for the Daikin Trade Centers.
- Work in conjunction with the DTC Supervisors and Domestic Account Managers to identify business opportunities within the wholesale channels.
- Meet with potential new business customers to present the benefits of the DTC range of products.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of industry trends

Customer onboarding
- Onboarding new DTC buying customers and assist in the early stages of their Daikin buying experience.
- Develop and/or maintain both new and existing accounts to meet minimum budget requirements

Support and Admin
- Build strong working relationships with Daikin Domestic Sales and DTC staff to provide creative solutions to customer needs.

The Right Person

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Prior experience working in a trade centre, e.g. HVAC, electrical wholesale, plumbing wholesale, etc.
- Experience in an Account Manager / Business Development role will be to your advantage
- Highly developed teamwork skills with the ability to gain respect and confidence of staff.
- High level of organisation skills.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations or conflicts
- Strong attention to detail.
