**About the Company**
We are currently recruiting for a IT Systems Officer to work within a dynamic team environment within a Government Agency.

**About the role**

**Responsibilities**
- Support the IT Infrastructure and Support Manager and other team members in delivering a high level of customer-focused IT service to all agency staff, providing technical support by phone, in person or by remote access as required.
- Maintain and resolve issues with hardware, including laptops and peripherals, and software, including that used for telephony and meeting rooms.
- Escalate appropriate issues to, and liaise with, third level external vendor teams via the Service Now portal within DCS and JIRA while continuing to take ownership of issues to completion.
- Work in a team environment to support drafting and publishing staff during high demand periods.
- Liaise with Gov Connect teams and Service desk to resolve escalated IT issues.

**Skills and Experience**
- Customer service-focused IT support with a high employee engagement attitude.
- Knowledge of, or proven ability to learn, drafting and publishing platforms such as FrameMaker and XML an advantage.
- WIN10 / E5 O365 suite.
- Experience in maintaining / editing HTML-based portal sites.
- Confluence and Jira system.
- Time management skills and the flexibility to work in demanding periods
