Our Digital Service business unit has 3 exciting Digital Product Owner Role’s available which focus on different specialisations - API & Mobile App. You will be reporting into the Senior Digital Product Manager and working closely with the broader Health Insurance business unit, connecting the customer, business and delivery teams.
The Digital Product Owner connects the customer, the business and delivery teams. You will be working with Product Owner peers, as well as Product Managers and key stakeholders to ensure Bupa is building the best product, and with the delivery team to ensure we are building that product in the right way. You understand customer needs and the business' goals and actively collaborate with the development team and the stakeholders to make fast, local and empowered decisions for the team.
**How will I help?**
- Will liaise with the Product Managers, business stakeholders, business analysts and technical development teams to deliver complex digital products and services
- Define business requirements via epics and features, while working with the Business Analyst and scrum team to arrive at stories & acceptance criteria to deliver the minimum viable product for product launch and successive iteration and horizon mapping
- Ensure focus on and priority of team backlog and roadmap
- Communicate and motivate the delivery team with the product vision communicating the business benefits of the product / features
- Create, prioritise and maintain the team backlog, defining release and sprint goals and answering questions to add detail to user stories
- Collaborate with user experience, visual designers and agency partners, to define and create engaging and delightful customer experiences
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business drivers / considerations and obtain necessary approvals
- Work closely with data and analytics to capture customer behaviours and help inform decisions and product development
- Contribute to ongoing product iteration, including management of small changes, bug fixes and optimisations, together with larger roadmap initiatives

**What do I need?**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, being articulate and concise.
- High level of autonomy, accountability and curiosity
- Ability to convey point of view, influence and question/push back where necessary, in a calm, professional, logical and evidenced based manner
- High level of emotional intelligence, emotional regulation and ability to ‘read the room’
- Being comfortable with ambiguity and very competent with unstructured & complex problem solving, working through situations, opportunities and risks
- Proven experience as a Digital Product Owner (preferably within the API or app space), with a solid understanding of best practice in integration, customer engagement, customer experience, product development & delivery
- Experience working in a large complex organisation, with multiple departments, structures and stakeholders - preferred
- Experience working in a hybrid software delivery environment (agile and waterfall combined)
- Ability to prioritise effectively to maintain a manageable workload for team and shield the team from unnecessary organisational ‘noise’
- Excellent relationship / stakeholder management skills, both internally within the team and with external partners
- Ability to extract / elicit requirements / problems in customer experiences and articulate/document concisely
- An analytical focus with an appreciation of data analysis, commercial drivers, business viability and technical feasibility
