*** **THE OPPORTUNITY**
We have an exciting dynamic opportunity for a motivated and experienced Quality Compliance Officer to join our business. This hands-on position is responsible for driving HACCP / SQF based quality practices and compliance requirements to ensure that the required standards for food safety are maintained.
- Planning, developing and reviewing SQF programs, standard operating procedures and other company specific material related to food safety and sanitation,
- Ensuring programs, SOPs and compliance standards are maintained throughout the business
- Monitoring the standards of hygiene, housekeeping, food safety, temperature compliance, allergen management, and quality
- Monitoring and ensuring all cleaning records, temperature records and calibration records are compliant
- Investigating complaints and closing out corrective actions relevant to non-conformances
- Working alongside supervisory staff to increase employee awareness of SQF systems including holding regular toolbox meetings to train and enforce quality practices throughout the business.
- Perform regular stock arrival and dispatch quality checks
- Ensure all labelling meet the requirements for transport
- Conducting regular GMP and Food Safety audits as per set schedule
**To be considered and successful in this role, it is essential applicants have**:
- Tertiary Qualifications or Post Graduate level in related Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or Equivalent will be highly desirable.
- Demonstrable exposure and understanding of HACCP / SQF quality compliance preferably in the transport and storage of perishable goods.
- Exposure to and understanding of GMP principals.
- Experience preforming internal and external audits.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication styles for all levels of the business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management and organisation skills.
