Sitting within ‘Partnering’ in the Group Risk Platform, the GM Tech, Digital & Data role will contribute to the delivery of the Group Risk ambition to Guide teams to make risk-informed choices with confidence and help leaders focus on what matters most. This role is critical for BUs/Platforms to identify the things that get in the way of delivering our strategic objectives (strategic, emerging and operating risks) and to facilitate solutions.

This role partners with Business Exco & Senior Leadership Teams to understand risks and opportunities and provide them with reliable risk insight to drive value generating decisions. This role is the window into risk, playing a pivotal role in advocating for the strategic objectives of the Risk Platform within the business and the strategic objectives of the business within the Risk Platform. A large proportion of capacity will be spent partnering, and the balance of capacity will be delivering scalable solutions and services in the tribe.

**What you’ll do:
- Establish positive working relationships with key stakeholders and leaders to design strategies to enhance risk informed decision making, promote a positive risk mindsets, support delivery of key risk initiatives and drive the effective management of risks within the business.
- Provide clarity and confidence why BU material risks are in appetite. Provide visibility and support plans to bring BU material risks into appetite. Support risk acceptance whilst they are out of appetite.
- Partner with business leaders in strategic planning activities with a focus on integrating risk management as an enabler in formulating and delivering on their strategies.
- Monitor to ensure controls are embedded into systems and processes across the Group and ensure risks are being effectively managed
- Provide coaching, facilitation and challenge on business strategies and objectives, building advocacy and influence through insights led, value generating contribution.Build risk management capability in our leaders that enables business objectives to be achieved within risk appetite

**What you’ll bring:
- Horizontal Leadership: Ability to lead through influence, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks across the Group
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to identify potential risks and opportunities, assess their potential commercial impact, and support the development of strategies to address them, with a focus on optimising business outcomes
- Customer Experience: A strong understanding of the importance of customer experience and a commitment to incorporating customer-centric considerations into risk management practicesCritical thinking and problem solving: Analysing complex situations, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and supporting the development of effective solutions
