We are currently recruiting for a Member Consultant position working full time in a permanent basis. The position will be based at our Victoria Barracks branch in Melbourne, however you may be required to work at our Bourke Street and Watsonia branch on occasion.The Member Consultant will contribute to the purpose and ongoing success of Defence Bank by delivering outstanding service in accordance with the needs of members and the business.
**Description**:
What you will do.
**This position is accountable for**:
Delivering outstanding member service to achieve agreed performance goals which includes:
Working with our members to achieve their financial goals.
Opening accounts, processing transactions, and responding to member queries.
Proactively promoting Defence Bank within Defence, with Defence Industry partners, and within the broader community to grow our member base and product portfolios.
Completing branch tasks to ensure ongoing compliance with legislation and Defence Bank’s policies and processes.
**To achieve this, you will work with**:
Current and prospective members.
Base command.
Key suppliers such as Chubb (security) and Prosegur (cash management).
Internal teams - Partner Relationship Managers, Wealth Investment Managers, Business Services, Business Technology, Lending Assessment, Loan Fulfilment, and People & Capability.
**Skills and Experiences**:
What you will bring.
A customer service star, you’re passionate about providing a consistent yet memorable experience. Your knack for uncovering needs, providing appropriately solutions, and achieving results. You connect with people, establishing rapport and trust quickly.
**You have**:
At least two years’ experience in a retail sales team ideally within financial services.
High school certificate or equivalent.
**Demonstrated experience or skills in**:
Achieving agreed goals in line with individual and team plans.
Building effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Facilitating presentations to small and large groups.
Picking up new concepts quickly.
Time management with the ability to handle unplanned interruptions.
