SIXT Australia is seeking a permanent **Full Time Recovery Officer** to join the team.
**Your main tasks overall will be**:
- Self-manage a portfolio of claims that has been delegated.
- Ensure all claims delegated are actioned and not aging.
- Determine liability and ensure all claims demands are generated and in adherence to SIXT Australia’s terms and conditions
- Directly liaising/corresponding with our internal and external customers and to assist them with their enquiries
- Responsible for chasing outstanding debts from customers and third parties to meet collection targets.
- Provide recommendations on files and making timely decisions in line with business needs
- Assist with on settlement files as well as negotiating with clients on settlements and making recommendations.
- Provide recommendations to contact centre manager on legal referrals or external collection companies
- Reporting and submitting collection results on a month-to-month basis
- Able to assist team members portfolios when called upon
- Contribute to the achievement of team and organisation goals.
- Able to assist and recover stolen vehicles.
- Have the ability to answer incoming customer enquiries as well as making outgoing phone calls to maximise recoveries.
- Provide customers with honest feedback with a positive attitude
- Liaise with other areas to gather and provide information
- Manage client expectations
**About you**:
- Tenacious phone skills with the ability to negotiate
- Proven dispute handling and conflict resolution skills
- Great time management skills, ensuring prompt contact is made
- The ability to overcome objections
- Ability to work with high volumes
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Proven ability to use investigative skills maximize cash collection
- Proven experience of meeting and exceeding set targets within a team environment
- Persuasive negotiator
- Quick thinker and able to use information at hand to quickly resolving issues for all parties
- Previous collection experience in insurance and/or motor vehicles will be advantageous
