The City is seeking an Information Management Officer (Project) to review physical records with the intention to re-sentence or dispose in accordance with the approved disposal authority.

Reporting to the City Records Co-ordinator, this position will support the City by undertaking a records disposal project which involves:

- Appraisal and sentencing for the retention or disposal of physical records in accordance with the General Disposal Authority for Local Government Records (GDA 2015-001/1).
- Updating record metadata in the EDRMS to enable better searching, and to meet corporate standards and compliance requirements of the State Records Act 2000 and relevant legislation.
- Re-housing of physical records to be transferred to other agencies.
- Liaising with internal business units regarding records due for disposal.

To be successful in this role you will possess knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, standards and practices, and key record-keeping principles.
