Overview

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is a critical participant in the administration of justice within Western Australia, providing an independent and effective criminal prosecution service and confiscation practice. The ODPP maintains an information repository that contains records of some of the most influential events in WA history. The ODPP is looking for a senior information manager who can help maintain this repository and ensure continued service to the office.

The ODPP is looking for an exceptional person who is passionate about information governance, can educate staff on the need for maintaining information in accordance with the ODPP’s Record Keeping Plan, and will develop policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the ODPP information.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Information Management Officer, you will:

- Help maintain the ODPP Record Keeping Plan
- Ensure its implementation in the electronic document records management system (EDRMS)
- Train staff on the use of EDRMS
- Be involved in projects to develop and enhance the EDRMS
- Help the ODPP on its journey to transform to digital information management

We have one permanent full-time position available to fill immediately from this process.

Recruitment Process

Suitable applicants will be placed in a recruitment pool. This pool will run for a period of twelve months and may be used to fill other similar permanent and fixed‑term full‑time and part‑time vacancies if they arise and are subject to business needs.

The ODPP deals with serious criminal offences, including homicide offences involving members of the WA Community. In the course of your duties, you may encounter materials including, however not limited to, photographs, videos, written statements, and oral evidence.
